M. Paul Valois, Attorney at Law
Paul graduated from Mary Washington College. He practices law with his wife, Margaret. They have been married for more than twenty years and have two teenage sons. They are among a very few attorneys who studied law the in same way Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln did - by studying under the supervision of a practicing attorney before passing the Bar examination. Both Paul and Margaret completed the rigorous and demanding Law Reader Program administered by the Virginia Board of Bar Examiners.
Paul was an engineer before he joined the Virginia State Bar in 2006. He is admitted to practice before all the courts of Virginia, including the Supreme Court of Virginia as well as the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia. Paul is a former Assistant Public Defender who handles criminal and traffic cases in addition to bankruptcy and other civil cases.
